Dad's Pies has achieved export certification since 2001. Dad's Pies Export Licence forms part of our comprehensive Risk Management Program (RMP) audited by the New Zealand Food Safety Authority.
Risk Management Program (RMP)
The Dad's Pies RMP is a Food Standard Program based on New Zealand Animal Products legislation which is overseen by New Zealand Food Safety Authority (NZFSA) which is the Food Safety branch of MAF New Zealand. The RMP is a specialized Food Standard Program designed to enable Dads Pies to export pies to the international market with the approval of MAF NZ to ensure that the optimum quality pies are produce for both the domestic and international market in the best facility without putting the end consumer at Risk from food contamination.
Halal
Dad’s Pies is a member of the Federation of Islamic Associations New Zealand (FIANZ) with a large range of Dad’s products certified as Halaal for export according to FIANZ’s strict standards. Dad’s products that are certified Halaal are listed in a special Halaal product list to ensure there is no confusion. These products are certified Halaal as at the point of manufacturer.
Products manufactured by Dad’s that are indivually packaged for export will retain Halaal status so long as the packaging remains sealed and guidelines as to storage, as available from the FIANZ, are followed until the product is sold. It is the customer’s responsibility to maintain the Halaal chain to the point of consumption should the customer wish to sell Halaal products. The FIANZ can be contacted for advice and customer premises certification.
